TOMATO PEPS’

February 21, 2017 | 0 Comments

‘Tomato Peps’ is a laser etched illustration that was originally a stencil. Most seasons, I try to get cherry tomatoes planted in the spring if possible. I always get excited when the fruits finally appear, even more as they ripen up. I’ve spent a lot of time fascinated by the rapid way the plants unfurl, the lines inspire me. I painstakingly transferred the image from a salvaged digital file. Went […]
NUMINOUS

Numinous was an opportunity to create a laser etched sandwich board for a cannabis extraction company. Although the design work was created by another firm, I was able to translate the logo, along with incidental developments, onto a rich wood grain. It stands at 22″ tall & is 14″ wide. It’s sealed with BIOSHIELD© Hard Oil, a superior low VOC penetrating finish & finished with BIOSHIELD© Hardwax #32.

I strive to create patterns that are subtle yet dynamic, vibratory visual fields where the eye has plenty to bounce around in. Interested in creating your own pattern? It all starts with a fractal. I can help you create your patterns via screen-printing or laser etching.
BUSINESS SIGN

A laser etched, wall-mounted, business sign/planter box. Constructed from mahogany & features a ‘black eyed susan’ flowering plant, growing along the guide line to eventually circl the channel of the frame. I chose mahogany for it’s open grain, rich warmth & relative quietness as a grain. The laser etched logo was left unfinished (and meticulously sanded) to preserve the quality of the exposed grain.

Each is 1/8″ thick multiply with a natural rubber bottom piece to prevent slippage. All are unfinished with a preference for the natural tone of the  grain. These lightweight & stylish coasters can be sold individually as well as in […]
